Day 2 / 15 : Machakhola to Jagat

I was surprised when I woke up at 6:30 today without any help. I find myself looking at niranjan who is doing something with his bag already. Today was going to be a long day, so I woke up and cleaned up.

I realized that since the day was going to be kongz there is no point in not charging the phone. So I reluctantly plugged in my first power bank and let it soak untill it was at 55%. In the mean time I packed up my stuff and headed downstairs for breakfast. For breakfast we had ordered tibetian bread and Jelly which was quite nice.

Today's trail would be mostly on the road. They are building a new road which goes all the way to Jagat. We could already see electricity lines and ethernet lines already set up till Jagat.
The trail was beautiful, we passed through many beautiful villages on the way. The whole trail is very civilized in this fashion. We were never really out of touch. We came across a hot-spring which was fun.

We stopped for lunch at this place just after crossing Dobhan. Post lunch our guide took on this route which was away from the road. We walking on some steep and rocks terrain. These trails were very well maintained though. In some of the steeper sections they even had steps built out of rocks. There was ample marking on the trekking route too. This was beautiful to see. I decided not to record the trip as I could see no point in doing so.

Between Lunch and Jagat we had to cross a section of metal bridge that was built onto the side of a large mountain. This was just above the Budhi Gandaki river bed. This was extremely fun. Soon we reached the village of Jagat.

Our rooms here are nice, there is wifi and electricity.

I realized that I'm not really okay with full isolation. I need something to feel connected to the outside world. Maybe my brain is so fucked that I can't comprehend anything else. Who knows.

Also the weather here worrys me, I hate hiking in the rain and from the looks of it, monsoon is going to arrive by the first week of June. I will complete annapurna circuit, but I'm not too sure about the rest of the treks.
